Born in 1959 in the Boston area, Elisa is a first generation Albanian-American. As a child, she loved to paint or draw with oil pastels. But art was not an option as a career in her traditional family, so she chose to use her hands in another way. She has been a successful Doctor of Chiropractic, since 1984. Still, into her 20’s, she continued to express herself with fiber arts, weaving, and quilting. In her mid 40’s — missing creativity in her life — she enrolled in a local museum school and took a community class on carving stone that rekindled her deep artistic chord. But it turned out to be the last class before the school closed the next year! Not dissuaded, she continued her journey through self taught exploration. A second career was born, as a mid-life, emerging artist. Now Elisa has been in over 70 shows and has won numerous awards.
