Biography
Stanley Haumani is a self-taught painter from Polynesia, born on mars 28th 1964. He has Chinese origins by his father and Tahitian by his mother. His wife is Tiare GOODING and their children are Tipari and Nanuaiterai. At the age of 8 years old, Mr Haumani feels the urge to represent the beauty of nature that surrounds him through painting. He developed techniques until today and uses oil paint and acrylic. He is interested by the marine environment when he started surfing at the age of 14 years old. He felt in harmony with nature and the ocean. That’s why he is particularly interested in painting the splendor of seabed in a very realistic and majestic way through a fauna and flora marines rich in colors and contrasted. He realized 11 exhibitions of his paintings (varnishing) and began to make himself known in 1988 while passing on television during his very first one. He sold his paintings abroad but his dream is to expose it all around the world, beginning with New York City, Paris, Miami and Japon. In 2005, he begins to paint portraits under the request of private individuals. Currently, he is more interested in Polynesian culture by painting symbolic characters possessing Polynesian tattoos and accessories.
