ROSIE SHERMAN Painting is my Passion If I wasn’t an artist, I’d be an art collector. Because I love the beauty of colors, blending together, overlapping, surprising, intended, or not, that come together in a successful painting. What does that mean? To each person, it’s subjective. I only know that as an artist, I want to captivate my audience. I want the viewer to stop and enjoy looking, at one of my paintings. All subjects fascinate me, therefore I paint landscapes and florals and figurative work, all with the same boldness of color and strong desire to lose myself in the joy and challenge, of it’s creation. Most often I use acrylic paint because it is most forgiving, and allows me the luxury of experimentation. Because I love to paint, I have taught others, but only on a volunteer basis. I am so grateful for this passion that I want to share it with others. Life is good, I feel blessed.
