This painting is a depiction of Pauline, my husband's grandmother. There are several photos of her, in sepia, this time she was sitting on a fallen tree in a field. I found the photos to be odd and interesting, in one she is standing alone in a huge field, maybe showing off her new outfit, I don't know but I do feel that with these photos she did want to be remembered.
